Manley's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

25-year old American power forward Sterling Manley (213-F/C-1998) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's best team Immortals de Cibao and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
He had a double-double of 19 points and 20 rebounds, while his team outclassed Capitanes (#5, 3-5) with 28-point margin 104-76. It allowed Immortals to consolidate first place in the Dominican Rep. league. Immortals have a solid 9-2 record. Manley turned to be Immortals' top player in his first season with the team. University of North Carolina graduate has very impressive stats this year. Manley leads league in rebounds with 11.7rpg. Manley is in league's top in and averages solid 2.8bpg and 54.2% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Khalil Small (190-G-1995). He is American guard in his first season at Immortals. In the last game Small recorded impressive double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds. Of course together with Manley he helped Immortals de Cibao with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Capitanes (#5, 3-5) 104-76. Of course Immortals still keep the league's top spot. His team lost just two games this season, while they won 9 matches. Small is a newcomer at Immortals and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 26.0ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 8.8rpg and 4.0apg.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Amet Gil (191-SG-1988) of Santiago Basket Titanes Dorado (#6). Gil got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for six rebounds and four assists. Despite Gil's great performance Santiago Basket lost 81-87 to slightly lower-ranked Fenix (#7, 2-7). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Santiago Basket can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 3-9 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Gil has individually a great season in Dominican Republic. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.0ppg (3rd best) and assists with 3.3apg (8th best).
